We shipped your acrylic awards and leather bound certificates to RSA Conference to hand them out to the winners. We informed the winners and PR agencies that your awards were available at the show for pickup. Some of you did not make it to our pedestal (RSAC moved it to the left side entrance of Moscone North – not as easy to find as last year). We reached out again. Some of you just could not find us in time or make it to our pedestal so we ended up shipping some back to our offices on the east coast.
We really want all winners to have their awards. Also, if there was an error in production (rare, but it could happen) we want to fix it at no charge to the winner.
However, the shipping, handling and insurance are an unexpected expense and we want to ensure your awards and some copies of the print edition of the magazine arrive safely at your office. If it’s a US shipment, it’s pretty easy for us. If it’s an international shipment, we sometimes have bizarre customs declaration issues and unexpected taxes which are probably not valid for a ‘gift’ – but customs in various countries do their thing to get monies into their respective governments.
