The ITS World Congress is the leading event in smart mobility and digitalisation of transport. It is an annual celebration that brings together the entire eco-system around Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and Smart Mobility to foster exchange of knowledge and cooperation, driving innovation and deployment of safer, smarter, and more sustainable mobility. The three regions, ERTICO – ITS Europe, ITS America and ITS Asia-Pacific organise respective World Congresses every third year in their regions together with a host City.
The ITS Congresses underlines the importance of advancing ITS solutions and smart mobility services across the world, and particularly in the regions where the event takes place. The ITS World Congress 2024 is organised by ERTICO – ITS Europe, in partnership with the European Commission, and the two regional ITS organisations, ITS America, ITS Asia Pacific. Hosted by the Road & Transport Authority of Dubai (RTA), the city is driven by the ambition to change how residents and tourists commute. Unlike other global cities, the Government of Dubai has taken the lead to transform the city’s transport infrastructure by working towards seamless and sustainable mobility, including the adoption of innovative technologies and self-driving transport strategy where 25% of all transportation trips will be driverless by 2030. Under the banner ‘Mobility Driven by ITS’, Dubai will provide an exceptional place for the wider ITS community and all the stakeholders to make the necessary contacts for future cooperation on global initiatives across the mobility ecosystem.
