Organizers of next-generation identity solutions event connect:ID, Science Media Partners and the International Biometrics & Identification Association (IBIA), have unveiled a new format that will see the event divided into three dedicated conferences, underpinned by a global identity technology expo, while also launching a call for speakers.
The event will now encompass the biometric ID:HUB, mobile ID:HUB and secure ID:HUB conferences, but where relevant, will also bring together the audiences to discuss cross-over issues, and to demonstrate how identity technologies are being combined to provide integrated solutions, across a wide variety of sectors.
Mark Lockie, Event Director, commented: “connect:ID has always been focused on bringing together the whole identity community under one roof – and will continue to do so.”
But, as the event has grown, so has the demand for more focused information on how biometrics, mobile identity and secure ID credentials can deliver next-generation identity solutions. With three ID:HUBs, Tovah LaDier, Managing Director of IBIA said: “We are now able to provide this focus, while meeting the needs of a wide range of sectors seeking identity-related solutions.”
The event will be held on March 14-16 in the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.
SMP and the IBIA also launched a call for speakers for the three conferences, outlining in detail how each will contribute to the fast-growing event.
The biometric ID:HUB conference will examine how biometric technologies are empowering consumers, as well as countless organizations in their quest to authenticate customers, identify citizens, protect valuable assets, or enhance national security.
Exploring mobile identity trends, the mobile ID:HUB conference will investigate how our identities, and consumption of a wide plethora of services, are becoming inextricably fused with the mobile device.
A third conference, secure ID:HUB, will examine how government-issued credentials have become the bedrock upon which many nations build their national identity infrastructure – and increasingly, their eID and mobile identity service offerings.
Lockie, also conference co-chairman, added that he would particularly encourage those at senior executive level, those at the forefront of research and development, market analysts, working group members and end users/governments to submit proposals.
The deadline for submissions is Friday, October 16, 2015.
