What were some of the most recent attack on trust?

 Winnti Group
 Bit9
 FreeBSD
 FLAME

Why is SSH of such concern?

SSH is critical for establishing trust and control in the cloud and concerns of its security continue to grow
as more companies move their infrastructure to the cloud.

Recently there has been a call for an upgrade to SSH? What are your thoughts?

The call for a new grade of SSH by Tatu Ylonen comes at a time when the technology is proving to be of
rising concern within organizations as they shift their infrastructures to the cloud. Ponemon institute
validates that the most alarming security threat to organizations is the compromise of SSH, which
provides the foundation of trust for cloud computing, and the alarming fact that such a compromise has
a potential cost exposure of more than $75 million per organization. Yet, up to this point, SSH was not at
the top of the security priority list.

How can companies regain control over trust technologies?

Organizations can no longer afford to not pay attention to trust. As cloud computing continues to
become the standard in enterprise computing, organizations must establish control over trust through
proper management of all encryption keys and certificates. Gone are the days of using an excel
spreadsheet to keep track of the 17,000+ keys and certificates in the network. Organizations must
leverage and apply best practices to protect their network infrastructure and incorporate automated
management of their trust technologies.
