Conclusion

Deepfakes and synthetic media challenge fundamental tenets of digital trust, exposing individuals,
organizations, and democratic institutions to unprecedented risks. As the technology progresses, so too
must the strategies for detection, mitigation, and public awareness. Balancing innovation with resilience
requires proactive investment, multidisciplinary research, and collaboration across sectors. By remaining
vigilant, adopting robust safeguards, and fostering digital literacy, society can confront the deepfake
threat and preserve the foundations of trust in our increasingly synthetic digital world.
