traditional workspaces, consider implementing cubicle offices with high walls instead of an open
floor plan. In addition, reporting suspicious activity right away will help to guard against the
damaging effects of a visual hack - urge employees to confront someone who exhibits signs of
conducting a visual hack, or at the very least, alert a supervisor or manager immediately.
While cyber threats will likely always be an ever-present concern in the workplace, if employees
and users follow these practices they can drastically decrease the risk of data loss and
breaches. In the modern digital-based world, we face unique challenges to protect ourselves
and our organizations. A well-thought out awareness program combined with preventative
measures and a realization that hacking opportunities are all around us, from your email to your
phone to literally over your shoulder, can help your organization keep its network safe and
