Cyber Security Connect UK Unveils Full Programme Line Up

London, October 31st, 2018 – The full programme for the inaugural Cyber Security Connect UK, which takes place in November, has been revealed featuring leading experts from the world of cyber security. This includes representatives from the Ministry of Defence, the National Police Chief’s Council, the DCMS (Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport) and from the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) who will share their insights with delegates. Covering a range of topics including the insider threat, equality and diversity, and tackling cybercrime in the 21st Century, the event has been designed to reflect the real-world issues encompassing strategic and technical challenges faced by security decision makers.

Cyber Security Connect UK is the first event of its kind for UK CISOs, representing a significant step change from the traditional exhibition experience, with the focus on providing opportunities for networking with peers and one-on-one interactions with senior executives from the vendor community. It is organised by DG Consultants, co-ordinators of France’s highly prestigious security event, Les Assises, working in conjunction with SASIG.

The event gathers together 38 best-in-class security solutions and service providers in a single place with delegates representing over 150 organisations across all sectors, public and private.

The forum’s programme has been masterminded by a steering committee of CISOs from leading UK businesses and academics, and will include high level content delivered through expert-led presentations, keynotes and partner workshops, designed to focus on strategic cyber security issues that are of concern to CISOs today.

Aurore Domange, Event Director at DG Consultants comments: “We aim to provide an event which shakes up the format of traditional exhibitions for delegates to get maximum value and return on their time. We’re delighted to welcome a stellar line-up of speakers from the world of cyber security and the programme will provide ample opportunity for thought-provoking discussion and meaningful dialogue where CISOs can learn from leading industry commentators, vendors and their own peer group. We’re looking forward to welcoming our delegates and partners to what promises to be a rewarding event.”

Martin Smith, Chairman & Founder of SASIG says: “In addition to the world class keynotes, roundtables and workshops that run throughout the forum, delegates will also meet one-to-one with some of Europe’s top vendors and suppliers to discuss their specific challenges and requirements.  These will be consultations between equals, both sides being part of a useful and professional dialogue.  This is what’s made Les Assises so popular and successful in France over the past 18 years and will be the greatest and most beneficial differentiator between this new event and all other UK conferences and trade shows.”
